Paktika Activity | 1 year 45 weeks | Residents of western Paktika stand in line to receive saplings handed out by members of the provincial government, the Paktika Provincial Reconstruction Team, and the 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, March 24. Afghan national security forces escorted the tree saplings to their respective district for distribution as well as providing security for the class and distribution process to prevent thievery and corruption. Georgia National Guard's Long Road, Nearly Behind Them | 1 year 48 weeks | U.S. Army Spc. Joshua Yancey (top), a small arms repairman and U.S. Army Sgt. Their latest mission took them from the city of Gardez in Paktia province, to Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. This route began with complicated twists and turns up and down a mountain and through the Tera pass in Logar province.
