Osama bin Lade is DEAD!

Watching our president speak as I type this. As one of the first units sent to Iraq during "Shock and Awe", I have to say that I am so relieved to have a tiny piece of justice served. This is not the end. This is just a mile marker on all that my generation has given to give back.

Indiana and Free Military Photos- "The Camp that Died Twice"

As I post to this site, see how lucky I am to see the photos from the military everyday. I am from Indiana and that is where my heart lays. When I enlisted I was sent to give my oath at Fort Benjamin Harrison, located Lawrence, Indiana only 40 miles to the north of Camp Atterbury near Edinburgh, Indiana. While both posts have a rich history on our American soil, I am covering Camp Atterbury in light of recent photo post.

In 1942 it took only four months to construct the army camp, Camp Atterbury. During WWII there were more than 100 units and 275,000 men who received training here.

Unemployed Veterans

Someone passed a website on to me, Call of Duty Endowment (CODE), and I really found it interesting. I do love to make lists of facts so here are the two sites that inspired me to dig up facts. http://www.callofdutyendowment.org/newsroom/blog-post/ and http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5jJDkVq0_ZSbDE06klAajk9.... They were so interesting. So here are my facts I compiled:

Free Military Photos

I just wanted to say how much I love this site. It has been such a neat experience to watch it grow and to see the photos. Being an Army vet I find it interesting to look into the lives of serves members in other branches.

New Direction for any war: Send Service Vets over 60!

I am over 60 and the Armed Forces thinks I'm too old to track down terrorists. You can't be older than 42 to join the military. They've got the whole thing ass-backwards. Instead of sending 18-year olds off to fight, they ought to take us old guys. You shouldn't be able to join a military unit until you're at least 35.

For starters: Researchers say 18-year-olds think about sex every 10 seconds. Old guys only think about sex a couple of times a day, leaving us more than 28,000 additional seconds per day to concentrate on the enemy.
