KC-130 Makes First Landing at Camp Dwyer | 2 years 23 weeks | The first KC-130J to land on Camp Dwyer touches down on the new expeditionary airstrip, Aug. 27. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron 371 began construction on the runway, Aug. 9. The strip is made up of more than 4,000 pieces of AM-2 matting and measures more than 4,300 feet.
