Shared Accord 2010 1 year 41 weeks Staff Sgt. Raymondhan Maeang, a platoon sergeant with 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines, demonstrates proper sight alignment during a live fire exercise with Mozambican troops Aug. 5 in Boane as part of Exercise SHARED ACCORD 2010. The 80 leathernecks, most from 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines, went through a combat marksmanship course of fire before about 200 Mozambican soldiers took their turn, firing a 10-round string of fire from 75-150 meters away from their targets while Marines stood by offering advice. Earlier the Marines led he Mozambican soldiers through a class on Marine Corps small arms weaponry and weapons handling procedures. SA 10, which is coordinated by U.S. Africa Command’s Marine component, U.S. Marine Forces Africa, brings together more than 1,000 U.S. service members and Mozambican soldiers for the purpose of increasing Mozambique’s capacity to carry out peace and stability operations.
