USS Ronald Reagan Leaves Wake | 2 years 32 weeks | The Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Preble (DDG 88) breaks away from a formation with the Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group after a straits training exercise off the coast of California. Guided-missile destroyers are multi-mission surface combatants which operate independently in support of carrier and expeditionary strike groups. Ronald Reagan is currently underway completing a Composite Training Unit Exercise, or COMPTUEX, in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
