Pumping Fuel
Petty Officer 3rd Class Joshua Pohl, aviation boatswain's mate (fuels), from Pittsburgh, and Airman Recruit Kourtney McCloud, aviation boatwswain's mate (fuels), from Hampstead, N.C., hot pump an SH-60H Seahawk assigned to the Black Knights of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Four on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. Hot pumping is a means of refueling aircraft without completely shutting them down in order to conserve time. Ronald Reagan is currently underway off the coast of California in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
