Elements of 26th MEU Come Ashore in Support of ISAF

A Marine with the Marine Tiltroater Squadron 266 "Fighting Griffons" displays his squadron pride by decorating his flight cranial with a griffon's head while unloading cargo from an MV-22B Osprey aboard Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, Jan. 15. The Marines arrived from the 26th Marine Expitionary Unit, which will provide security for the Route 611 project over the next several months. Once complete, Route 611 will connect Northern Sangin Valley and Kajaki to the Route 1 beltway.
