Seaman Reunites with Family Surviver of Haiti's Earthquake

Seaman Jean Berson Petitfrere, a boatswain's mate, originally from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and assigned to USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44) embraces his fiance Monge Jean after reuniting. She had survived the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Haiti Jan. 12. Gunston Hall was diverted from its Africa Partnership Station mission to assist with relief and humanitarian efforts for Operation Unified Response after a 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti Jan. 12.
