Army Cook Contributes to FOB Security

Leaving the comfort and safety of his barracks, U.S. Army Spc. Damian C. Caldino, a food service specialist assigned to Forward Support Company G, 2nd Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, Task Force Balls, dons his combat gear and heads to his guard tower at Forward Operating Base Hughie in eastern Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province Feb. 24. Caldino, a native of Oxnard, Calif., served in the Navy before joining the Army.
