NAF Misawa Conserves Energy

Petty Officer 2nd Class Zach Gehrig, Naval air crewmen (mechanical) from Plattsmouth, Neb., and assigned to Naval Air Facility Misawa, descends a stairwell at Naval Air Facility Misawa. While participating in Operation Tomodachi, the base is limiting its energy usage in its office spaces in support of energy conservation on base and in the local area. The operation is in response to the 9.0-magnitude earthquake that triggered a massive tsunami off Japan's eastern seaboard.
