Sailors Gather Chains

Seaman Ariele Campbell and Seaman Apprentice Moreno Martinez, station aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Whidbey Island, gather equipment tie-down chains on the ship’s flight deck. The ship is deployed as part of the USS Bataan Amphibious Ready Group. The Bataan Amphibious Ready Group deployed ahead of its original schedule in order to relieve units from the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group in the Mediterranean Sea.
