Airframe Mech Maintains War Zone Helos

Lance Cpl. Nathan Cherry, an airframe mechanic with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 466, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), works on the tail of a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter. The Lockport, N.Y., native is home based with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 464 at Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C. His squadron joined Marine Heavy Helicopter 465 out of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., to make up HMH-466. Cherry deployed here in January for a six-month stint.
