1st TSC Operation Move Iron Slashes Delays, Gets Soldiers Home

Staff Sgt. Elvan Daugherty, from Parkersburg, W.Va., and Spc. Adam Christensen, lay out weapons for customs inspection at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Aug. 21. The two soldiers work for Operation Move Iron, which helps soldiers coming from Iraq and Afghanistan get home faster by signing for and shipping the weapons for soldiers who redeploy as individuals or in small groups. The 1st Theater Sustainment Command initiated the operation to ensure all soldiers clear customs in Kuwait and get home as quickly as possible.
