Your rating: None Average: 7.4 (7 votes)

The pilot and co-pilot of an F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the "Black Aces" of Strike Fighter Squadron VFA temporarily hold up the U.S. flag while flying over Afghanistan. The Super Hornet is part of the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group which is on a routine deployment to the region. Operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity. My cousin flew the F-14 in the Gulf war. I worked in news media at the time and I kept trying to figure out how to get to ride with him! Yea...I'd be puking! Love this picture of the F/A-18F Super Hornet. Love the "flying" of the flag!
