Provincial Reconstruction Team Paktiya

Members of Provincial Reconstruction Team Paktiya approach a meeting site to attend a shura in Mirzaka, Afghanistan, Nov. 4. The shura was an oppurtunity for the new PRT personnel to introduce themselves to local Afghan leadership and discuss ongoing development projects. PRT Paktiya enhances the legitimacy of the Afghan government by enabling it to provide public services and development projects to the local populace, thus weakening Taliban influence.
