Marines Raise Colors

Lance Cpl.'s Jeramie Jeffries and Joshua Kaibel, both administration clerks with 1st Marine Division (Forward), raise the Marine Corps flag during morning colors at Camp Leatherneck, Nov. 9. The Marines of 1st MarDiv(Fwd) raise the American, Afghan and Marine Corps flags over the division buildings. “Raising the Marine Corps flag gives me a great sense of pride knowing I serve a purpose greater than myself,” said Jeffries, a 20-year-old native of Los Angeles. “My family, friends and fellow Americans can go about their days and sleep well at night knowing that those around me embody 235 years of worldwide service.”
