Samples on USS Ronald Reagan

No votes yet

Airman Robert A. Seligman, an aviation boatswain’s mate (fuel) from Phoenix, takes a fuel sample aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan during an opposed replenishment at sea with the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Yukon. Fuel samples are taken to make sure the fuel received is clean. Ships conduct an opposed RAS to practice completing replenishments at sea in a wartime scenario with other ships in the same carrier strike group providing perimeter protection. Ronald Reagan and Yukon performed the opposed RAS as part of a Composite Training Unit Exercise. Ronald Reagan is currently underway preparing for an upcoming deployment.
