The 836th Eng. Det. Is a part of the 6th CBRN Task Force, a unit trained to augment civilian emergency response in the event of a chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear incident. Port Arthur Oil Spill Clean Up | 2 years 16 weeks | Cleanup crews tend to oil in the Sabine-Neches Waterway in Port Arthur, Texas, Jan. 25. The oil spill was caused by a collision between the Eagle Otome, an 807-foot Singapore-flagged tank ship, and the towing vessel Dixie Vengeance, which was pushing two barges. An estimated 450,000 gallons of crude oil was spilled into the waterway due to the collision.
